From Noelle's sister Alicia:
Hey all!! I'm sending you an email from John Angotti's computer who graciously let us use his shower (and obviously computer) after we rehearsed music for tomorrow. It's exciting seeing all the pilgrims from all over the world! We are staying in the Sydney Olympic park showground in The Dome...where I guess gymnastics took place. It's not as bad as I thought...they didn't pack us in so there's a lot of room and just several rows of people sleeping areas. The ground was kinda uncomfy , even with the mat...but my sleeping bag was super warm so I felt bad for the people who froze all night! Luckily they did hand out sleeping bags be\cause some people didn't buy them so they literally froze. One girl in our group I saw sleeping this morning with gloves, her big coat, and a knit cap! The showers are in big semi truck-like things...not horrible but not ideal so showering here at John's hotel was amaaazing.
We have to head to Mass at the harbor now (Darling Harbor is soooo pretty...we walked around and had dinner there last night...gorgeous city).

Hi!
I'm so glad I've found this blog!! I'm not going to WYD, and so am feeling rather left our of it all, and blogs are such a coooollll invention. (I'm such a sticky-beak!!:))
Keep posting! Do you know anyone else who is keeping a blog? I'm gonna try and collect them... ok, so I'm Australian (I live in NSW, but am a QLDer, just in case you didn't know there is much friendly
'dislike' between those two states. So much so that they have a popular rugby game with two teams - QLD and NSW.:D) which nationality are you? Who is the girl in the blog picture?
Btw, it was a extremely controversial issue, the Aboriginal stolen generation. The Gov. took the kids away mostly because the parents couldn't/weren't looking after them. However, some of the cases were totally invalid- the parents WEre looking after their kids. It was sad, but the Prime Minister had a National Apology day which hopefully has at least 3/4 healed the rift. The PM gave a speech and everything. It was a positive step towards unity.
And wallabee is spelt wallabY:):):)
Sounds like you're having a great time!! God Bless!!
Elyse
P.S. This may sound like a silly question but when you're trying to get to sleep, is everyone noisy? And do you get enough to eat? I sincerly hope not for the former, and hope so for the latter.
E!
